My Voice Experience

I started in high school at a CBS-radio affiliate (WVNA, Tuscumbia, Alabama) as announcer through college and beyond (1962-72). Later, moved into sports broadcasting,news, commercials and production.
Later (1972-76), I worked in local television. Later, in Houston, I worked at the oldest radio station in the city (KPRC Radio-950)(1993-98), as studio producer and in commercials. Commercials were used all around the station programming, on the Texas State Network, and during Houston Astros and Houston Rockets broadcasts (station was flagship station of those networks)
Later, at the World Talk Network I did newscasts on Internet worldwide broadcasts. Also worked as volunteer for Houston Taping for the Blind Radio, reading and recording articles for broadcast.

My Training

University graduate, University of North Alabama, Florence, Alabama, 1976. Speech and Dramatic Arts Minor. Stage productions as actor and sound production. First did Voice-Overs under Gladys Shepard (Her other students included George Lindsey, of "Mayberry" and "The Blob" fame.)
