My Voice Experience

I began working in a bank in Manhattan in my late teens in a position requiring heavy phone usage. I would confirm bank to bank transactions over the phone with other people and the girls would call back and ask for me just to hear me speak. They always commented on how deep and sexy my voice was. This type of interaction continued throughout my 15 years in banking and brokerage. At parties or other gatherings, strangers would come up to me and ask me if I was in radio broadcasting and of course I said "no". The conversations always ended with the person telling me I am missing my calling in radio or voice over work. Recently, I met a radio professional of 20 years and he told me I should not hesitate to get into the voice industry because he told me my voice was perfectly suited for that line of work. I find as I get older, I am told more and more to pursue this field so here I am!

My Training

When I went from the banking side to working as a Foreign Exchange Broker, my voice was projected into many rooms in banks worldwide. I was a successful broker because my voice seemed to sell the product alone. I never had to be asked to repeat anything I needed to quote as my voice had and still has great clarity.

Additional Skills

I moved to Florida in 1998 and sold windows and doors and reassured my customers when they worried over the work being done on their home or business. I have since realized I have a gift to speak to people and they listen very well to what I say and it's also because of the assurance of how I say things.
