Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Accents: Scottish, Irish, North American, Mid-Atlantic. English: classic BBC, Yorkshire, Lancashire, London and more.
I can also do French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian accents in English - natural or caricature, as required.
I speak good French and Spanish and COULD do voiceovers in either - BUT obviously with a slight British or American accent (or a stronger one if required). I am NOT a native speaker of these languages.

My Voice Experience

'Discovered' while acting in 'Streetcar Named Desire'. Over the past 25 years I've done corporate/ documentary voice jobs on a daily basis, promos for CNN, radio ads for Carlsberg, TV for Federal Express, KPMG, Sheraton and many more. I've read stories on BBC radio, narrated audio books, and recorded TV commercials in the US through my agent in Manhattan.

My Training

Years of theatre experience plus some film work led to my first voiceover gig, and I've never looked back. I've also done numerous live and on-camera presentations at international business and press conferences. I also train and mentor clients in presentation skills.

My Studio Equipment

I have my own basic studio with Wavelab software, AKG 1000S mic, Tascam USB audio interface, so I can produce clean, edited voice recordings on demand. For anything more sophisticated I have easy access to three excellent pro studios equipped to the highest standards, including ISDN.

Additional Skills

I'm a natural sight reader, even of highly technical (e.g. pharmaceutical) texts. I'm a creative writer (2 books published to date), a translator, copywriter, speechwriter and former English teacher, so I'm used to last minute tweaking of texts in studio.
