Voice Description

As an award-winning play-by-play sportscaster, I can make things exciting, and have been compared in sound to Harry Kalas of the Philadelphia Phillies. When not excited, I have a naturally laid back, smooth and soothing baritone sound. Not known for having the "huge pipes", but just for sounding natural and conversational. I don't do impressions, but rather imitations, I guess meaning I can have fun doing things with a dramatic flair, imitating a certain character. Sorry, I know only English and a few words of Spanish.

My Voice Experience

With 18 years of broadcast experience currently, including many years of also teaching high school classes at the same time, I've developed a versatile voice -- from exciting sports play-by-play, to news/narration/documentaries, to short character commercial voiceovers, to conversational style and in-classroom dramatic demonstrations.

My Training

My training began with speech, voice and diction training in college leading up to my B.S. in Radio and Television communications. The rest came from on-the-job training in sports, news, talk shows, radio and video production, etc. I'm now expanding my own horizons by teaching high schoolers broadcasting and using more drama-based methods in developing my voice and my students'.
