Voice Description

Deep bass voice (natural) can employ the following dialects; New Yorker, Indian, Oriental, Irish, German, French, Proper English (British), Cockney, English Punk. My previous success in sales is partially attributable to my reassuring sounding voice. I also have been honing my timing in material delivery. I understand that my voice is quite pleasing to a female audience. I have enjoyed doing impressions for most of my life, (just ask).

My Voice Experience

My experience to date consists of being accepted as a volunteer reader for Reading Information Service, Pittsburgh. I have been reading for them since November, 2007. I have also been produced as a member of The Saint Bernadette's Traditional Choir (2005)
I hope that any prospective employers will understand that this is a career switch for me, and give my voice samples a quick listen as soon as I am able to post them.

My Training

I am the son of a career journalist. Growing up in his household required a great respect for the written and spoken word. My father had begun writing copy for documentaries and travel infomercials later in his career. He was repeatedly approached by some of the producers to read his copy for the productions.

My formal education has thus far rewarded me with a BA in European History from the State University @ Oneonta, NY. I have also earned a Series 7 brokerage license as well as a Series 63 (Blue Sky) Insurance license.

Additional Skills

In my previous career in direct & phone sales required me to employ many voice techniques in servicing my clients & customers.

I am always working to emulate the intonations, timing and expressions that I hear everyday on the radio and television, thinking about how the different techniques were employed and the reasons why the voice messages were directed as they were. I guess you can say that I have been in self directed voice training for most of my life.
