My Voice Experience
When I was five years old, I could practically recite all of Walt Disney's animated version of Robin Hood, expertly mimicking multiple character voices.
From that point on, I loved imitating voices, such as Warner Bros. cartoon characters like Sylvester the Cat and Foghorn Leghorn.
Years later, around 1999, I took my first formal voiceover course, learning from Dolores Diehl in Los Angeles.
From there, I gained further voiceover education and training at schools run by Dru Scott, and Jim Alburger and Penny Abshire in San Diego.
In December 2007, I earned an opportunity to perform radio commercials for my company, Upper Deck. The spots aired nationally on ESPN Radio.
I'm thrilled to say the least as my training has paid off. Now I'm ready to experience more in the world of voiceovers!
My Training
I took several courses geared specifically toward voiceover work, starting in 1999.
I enrolled in multiple classes, workshops and voice workouts with teachers such as Dolores Diehl (Los Angeles), Dru Scott (San Diego) and Jim Alburger and Penny Abshire (San Diego).
My Studio Equipment
I create tracks using GarageBand on my Apple Powerbook through an MXL condenser microphone.
Additional Skills
In 2004-05, I took singing lessons, where I learned breathing techniques and how to get a better command of my voice.
