Voice Description
My voice has been variously described as youthful, sexy, energetic, soothing and "nice". A good friend once suggested I should do a butter commercial, whatever that might mean, while another's 70+ year-old mother told him I had the sexiest phone voice she'd ever heard. Several others have compared my voice to Tom Hanks' in his/my more manic moments...
I'm also fond and capable of trying character voices and various regional accents...

My Voice Experience
My appreciation of music pushed me in the direction of broadcasting and radio. Acquiring my FCC broadcaster's license through a local high school-affiliated program, I served as a regular on-air personality for WXBA (88.1, Long Island) for several years during the early to mid-90's.
In 1999 I became the jack-of-all-trades Business Manager for Girlie Action Media, an independent NYC PR firm for the music industry. One of my tasks was to oversee the phone/voicemail system. As a result I became the "Voice of Girlie Action" and my employers regularly received positive feedback on my recordings for the voicemail system...

Communications and broadcasting were emphasized in college...
Marla Kirban was my VO coach...

Additional Skills
My son enjoys the way I read him his bedtime stories, incorporating character voices as well as straight reads. When a person's or character's voice catches my attention I have a pretty good knack at mimicking it. I can also carry a tune should the need arise...
