My voice is mid range with a wide range. It can be presented as pleasant and smiley, as well as dark and dramatic.

I have experience with video over dubs from english to spanish and also performed as actor in spanish for video productions long and short.

I have translated english radio spots into spanish and recorded the spanish version for use on air with spanish programming.

My voice was used for the opener voice of spanish Red Sox radio broadcasting two years in a row.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can speak wit a general American accent or one from the locals in the North Eastern States, varying from New England to New York speak.

I also speak fluent Spanish with a general South American accent or a Caribbean flare. I impersonating an "old Cuban or Puerto Rican man" with a cigar , or slightly inebriated.

I can speak "urbanese" or "ghetto" as required, having lived in the city most of my life. I have also worked with urban teens for more than 12 years.

My Voice Experience

Radio/Voice Over
As a broadcast student in Indiana I was able to develop the general American announcer voice over style for national advertisements. I also gained some experience using effects for grandiose openings wit TV productions and live events.

After college, working for several radio stations, I enjoyed creating copy and performing them using a number of approaches. Some of these were the oversell "call now" punch, the sympathetic "feed the children" approach, the casual "every day" ordinary guy, and the "old wise professor" style. I tried to stay away from the predictable questions "Do you have a plumbing problem?" approach and create a scenario with the answer.

I wrote and produced most of my spots. Many of them were translated from english to spanish.

As a doctor in a UMASS medical video on diabetes. (long length)

As a driver without a seatbelt on in the MASS State PSA spanish version of "Click it or Ticket" (60 sec)

As a parcel delivery man in a spanish language instruction video,( one volume in a series).

My Studio Equipment

At present I only have a DJ mixer and a Shure SM 57 microphone I have used direct to record source.

I have experience with Adobe Audition and also Audacity.

Additional Skills

I currently work full time with corporate video conferencing as a consultant. I interact with executives and upper level management on a daily basis.

Prior to that I was the Media Technology Coordinator for the Library Media Center at Boston Latin School. There, I supervised student and teacher media productions. We used a TV studio that included a control room and 2 JVC studio cameras, a 14 channel Mackie mixer, and Shure SM57 microphones and Shure lavalieres.

The NLE post production systems were originally Final Cut, upon upgrading we downgraded to IMovie to provide more access to all students.
