My Voice Experience

I'm a voice-over and production veteran, having voiced and produced over a thousand commercials and promos since the late seventies. Also did looping, ADR and off-camera voice work for major motion pictures and network television series. I'm the former president of Los Angeles-based production company, L.A. Trax, the leading producer of commercials for the music industry for two decades. Winner of multiple Clio and International Broadcasting Awards. Formerly an active member of AFTRA and SAG, I was represented by a major Hollywood talent agency for ten years before leaving the area. Now based in the Mohave Desert outside of Laughlin, NV, I specialize in voice services for podcasters and independant producers, and operate my own boutique voice-over services company, THE PODCAST VOICE GUYS

My Training

Not professionally trained, but trained myself over the years, and, as a commercial producer, became recognized as one of the premier voice-over directors in Hollywood. Over a twenty-year period, I directed several of the biggest voiceover actors in the business. During that time, I conducted several AFTRA-sponsored voice-over workshops in the eighties and nineties, training and coaching scores of others in the art of voice-over performing.

My Studio Equipment

Rode NTK valve (tube) condenser microphone used primarily for voice-overs, Aphex 230 Master Voice Channel preamp/vocal processor, Windows-based dual core PC with 2GB Ram and 1 TB of storage. Multiple audio recording and mixing software available includes Sony Sound Forge, Nero 6 Ultra (which I prefer over later versions, Sony Vegas 6, Sony Acid, Adobe Audition 2.0.

Additional Skills

I am a multiple-award-winning producer of commercials, jingles, videos and records, having garnered walls full of gold and platinum records and major advertising industry awards (Clios and International Broadcasting Awards). Having successfully made the transition into the digital realm, I am now a bona-fide expert in digital audio recording and production, all of which is done in my advanced digital studio using the finest condenser microphones and digital audio software.
