Voice Description

When meeting new people, the first thing they say is, "Wow! You have a radio voice! Do you work in radio?" I tell them no.
I actually had a guy offer me $100k for a free sampler of my voice. I said no, thinking if it were worth a hundred-thou it's worth a mil.

I've got a smooth, deep, adult male voice.
(Could be gruff, could be goofy, could be any number of things other than solemn and sad.)

What I'd really LOVE to do, is animation work.

My Training

No professional training, and no broadcasting degrees to wave. Sorry.

Doing small-studio multi-track music recording, I know that if what you hear isn't exatly right, it's back to the drawing board. As a rule.
Although doing voice work may prove to be touchier still than, say, playing a guitar rif flawlessly, I won't shy away. I love the work. Everyone says I should at least give it a shot.

Additional Skills

I grew up in a household full of music. My dad played guitar on Sunday mornings. That was the birth of my fascination.
I was born in 1960, and with 3 older brothers, grew up singing along with songs long before I knew what the words meant. I started playing guitar at age 12, have a copyright on some original music from1983 that needs to be renewed in 2008, and have taken up piano/keyboard as well.
I have experience working with recording equipment, and understand how important it is to get things down "just right".
It can be exhausting, but my respect and dedication to the perfect product can't be put into words. That's it.
