Voice Description

My professional voice work has been strictly for corporate publications. I have done some local commercial voice over work but have been more proficient with private voice work for various groups and individuals. I have done some phone message work and personal requests for both natural and impersonated voices. I can quickly learn dialects if not specific languages but am willing to do other languages beyond my native language of English with phonetic transpositions. Characters I have portrayed range from my own voice (probably not my best!) to Eurpean, African, Australian, South American, Carribean, and other dialects and vocal inflections. None of my current voice messages on my phone or my friends phones are my natural voice dialect! As you can probably tell, I'm rather new to attempting to do this on a larger scale professionaly but I learn fast and am willing to take direction!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Old Italian mother, Irish pub patron, Italian Matre D'hotel, Mickey Mouse, Bold announcer guy. I can listen to most dialects and pick up on them quickly. I have performed in several local commercial projects with some of these voice characterizations and can do others if I study the dialect for a few days.

My Voice Experience

While working on the Space Shuttle Endevour maiden launch mission, our A/V staff needed someone to do voice overs for some corporate propaganda. We did a couple of promotional videos and after about 2 months of intense launch preparations and joint communications work with NASA, we also decided to do a spoof of a NASA press briefing where I portrayed several diffent characters.
I was once asked to impersonate Arnold Schwarzenegger over the phone and carried on a conversation with a VP of one of the worlds largest trade unions. He still believes that he spoke with Arnold and I still look over my shoulder when someone mentions Jimmy Hoffa! I think he actually knows where old Jim is! My favorite work was actually a commercial shoot for a local restaurant where I did multiple charcters and a split screen promotion for the restaurant. Since then I have become the lead singer in a local Classic Rock group that performs regularly for this establishment.

My Training

Training? You mean you need to have training for this stuff? Hell, I wasn't even trained to build telecommunications companies, I guess that would have been a good idea, but I spent so much time doing that I didn't have a chance to get formal training on what I know. I thought everyone automatically knew or was expected to know what they do.

My Studio Equipment

I don't own any studio equipment but the bass player in my band has his own studio. He is also listed as engineering credit on Eric Clpaton's last DVD and has worked with many major artists as a sound designer/engineer. I'm sure if I had to we could work something up for you! He'll probably want to get paid for it so there goes my gig money for the next 6 months! I am personally knowledgeable of audio and video connectivity. I was responsible for the construction and rebuild of many such sites for the second largest telecommunications satellite companies in the world.

Additional Skills

If needed, I can run a sound board, although my depth of knowledge is cursory until I familiarize myself with a setup. I can do stand ups for both voice and video shoots and have been involved in SNG and small brodcast systems over the years.

Payment Methods Accepted

• Personal checks, cashier's checks, or money orders in my local currency
