My Voice Experience

My first VO gig was as a result of the director of a McDonald's commercial I was playing saxophone on hearing me through the "talk back" microphone. He asked me to stay after the music portion of the recording session to lay some vocal tracks. Subsequently, hearing the spoken word, in my voice, on network television during an NFL playoff game lit the fire that still burns.
Since that first experience, I have been very fortunate to have received many opportunities to hone my craft in the professional setting. From car dealerships, to upscale restaurants, hospitals, charities, telecommunication service providers, and many other realms of industry, I have been called upon to be the voice of a brand.
Some of the companies for which I have been called upon to provide a voice include:
McDonald's, NAPA, AAA, Nissan, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, The Humane Society,
United Way, Werner Ladders, The Columbus Blue Jackets, Humana, Florida Tourism and many more.
I look forward to lending my voice to other fine companies.

My Training

I graduated in 1985 from the Arts Magnet High School in Dallas Texas where I began as a Theater Major but switched to Music for my upper class years. I have been a professional musician since (Saxophone and Vocals). 25 years on stage and in the studio have rendered me a seasoned performer.
I returned to school as a 40 year old college freshman. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Interactive Multi-Media Technology. With the knowledge gained in my studies, I have ventured to start my own Multi-Media production company.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to a selection of ISDN equipped studios here in Columbus, most notably of which is Circa Music but also have a good working relationship with Magnetic Studios and Mills James.
My personal studio, from which I can produce, edit, and either upload, email, or send via post broadcast ready VO tracks is ProTools with BombFactory Plugins and an Sennheiser Mic.

Additional Skills

I am known for my ability to hit the take on the first pass. Cold reading is a specialty. I sing jazz and play saxophone as if it were breathing. I love to golf, cook, ride horses, read, paint, build furniture, ... but most of all I love my two sons and my wife.
