My Voice Experience

I have done lot's of theatre for Middle School and High School, so I will tell my life story. BUT imagine the story told by a Fevil, Independent, Old, Retired Buisness women who has seen it all and has nothing holding back....this is a very short version of my life and have always loved to write short stories of it and read it as if it was another person. Have Fun

Born to Military Parents in Heidelberg, Germany in 1984. My mother was a drill sergeant and my father was a helicopter gunner for the army. After a year or so, we packed our bags to move to the states, to Texas of all places. We moved almost every 6 months till the age of 11.
My father, a deranged psychopath who has turned emotionally soft and violent, and those war times began to take its toll and my mother's passion of lying brought her to become a compulsive control freak. Life at this moment for me was great because at this point my babysitter and I watched the movie "Kids" and I then realized I was in love with Chloe Sevigny, I quickly tore down all my Teen Pictures of Devon Sawa, Jared Leto, to put up Spice Girls, Sandra Bullock, and Parker Posey. My Mother did not agree with this and we started to grow apart and at the age 12 the unspeakable happened.
I got kicked out and hitch hiked my way to California with dreams of joining the Entertainment business. Tired and weak I overheard that the best places to sleep was the top of any parking lot. Never expected I would find my next 4 years of my life handed to me the moment I reached the top.
I noticed a figure lying motionless in the dark corner of the lot. I know I am supposed to keep a low profile due to the fact I am only 12. But dangerous lil' ol' me, I go over and make sure they are okay. By the time I get to them they have sat up and greeted me with a huge lazy smile, before I could even swallow the fear I said “hello” back and sat down next to them. Come to find out her name was Shalina and she too was living on the streets, she said "come closer and put your arms around me it looks like you need it." And I did, and never let go.
She taught me how to live and love, especially how to use needle. After 4 years of shooting up we decide to have a change. We jump in a open cart on the first train to southern Texas. We arrive in Galveston, TX a few months after leaving California I knew, we are trying to get clean and begin a loving relationship.
A month goes by and the pain is over. We want to celebrate our victory so we go out with a few friends. I leave Shalina sitting on the couch as I grab us a beer and we go back home. I was lying on the bed as she came out of the bathroom; she looked like she did the night we met at the top of that parking lot. She lays down with her head on my lap and confessing her love for me and how brave I have been but she couldn't stay away. Not knowing what that meant I turned off the lights.
The next morning I awake and look down at my love and she was cold, grey and lips turned purple. After the denial and my absence to her burial I ran into more issues. One night I was walking home after work in the wrong neighbor hood. I awoke once more but this time in pain and I couldn't recognize myself. I slowly and painfully finished my walk to my friend’s house of which next thing I remember was being in the hospital getting tests done. After the long night I just want to go home and sleep instead I was greeted by a Police Officer and was escorted to my mother's house in Iowa.
After attending a very little close-minded republican school, my mother say's “can’t keep a wild animal caged or they will lose their survival skills". With that said now 16, almost 17, I was on my own once more. Trying to make the right decisions I stay in the same state and continue to gain knowledge of supporting myself.
Alcoholism and drugs made a huge statement and its impact brought me to the most hard-working person I am today. I have overcome my fears, my addictions, regained my passion for working in the entertainment business. Instead I invest all of my time to working 3 jobs and never thinking twice about going back to what I was 5 years ago. Many women, Many Jobs, Many friends later I am ready to jump back into what I have always wanted to do, work for someone in the entertainment business. Never want to make it big just want to make it being my self. So I followed my passion of entertaining to San Diego, CA. Where I currently reside. Giving all that I have to share my story with others. I am now 23 and am finally settled. Ready to Show the World Jody Charity Escobar, A Somebody!

Additional Skills

Energentic, Always looking for new voices or accents to learn. Creating new ideas and inventions to keep the mind boiling. I have always worked with customers and always had High Schoolers as co-workers so with their adolescent it made it easier to come up with material. Love Kids, and have had a lot touch my life in ways I can never repay them or show them what they meant to me. So I would put on shows to keep them happy and organiazed a many in house plays for kids when the parents wanted to get away.
I love changing my voice even for every day things, like making a bowl of ceral, must have a jingle or trying to write a lyrics for a new song and have it turn out to sound like a british newscaster. I love what you can learn if you just listen.
