I've a myriad of childish, jibbering, kooky voices that can come spewing forth when reading stories aloud to my children. I believe every character in every story has it's own tale to tell and I do my best to have them be heard

My Voice Experience

"I call you just to hear your voice." I have heard that from clients, friends, and family. According to them, my natural voice emotes Home, Love, Safety, Calm. There is a sensual overtone to my voice that is very attention-getting for men. This same voice is oddly attractive to women, likely because they connect with me as somebody who has life experience. When I breathe into this persona, as you will hear in the first clip on my demo, I am pure compassion. When playfulness or humor slides in, as with the last clip on my demo, you'll hear the sensual, relaxing voice that invites you to sit and stay a while. Though new to auditioning, I have been consciously utilizing my voice as an instrument to convey my thoughts for most my life. I have done the voice systems for Health Management Center, Inc., Four Points, LLC and am currently involved in developing podcasts and radio programs where I can feature my voice talent.

My Training

Involved in theater arts throughout school. Studied voice over while in college but didn't receive the training I'd hoped for. In 2009 I became a student of Klem Daniels here in Seattle.

Klem worked with me to fine tune my abilities and then reach beyond what I'd thought I was capable of delivering.

Additional Skills

The majority of my professional career has involved speaking with clients over the telephone. Having worked in the medical field, many times clients were upset when they would call. I discovered early on that I have a way of conveying a purpose in my voice and so can usually readjust people's mood or temperment by utilizing the right tone of voice. Whether it's offering hope to somebody who has a loved one in critical care, making a child laugh and look forward to what crazy thing is going to happen next, or promising pleasures to come on that exotic getaway, I believe my voice, when coupled with my imagination, is a wonderful intstrument that will fit many different roles.
