My Voice Experience

Jodi Krangle has done the narration for a World War II documentary (Mystery of Saipan), along with other narration projects (MesoCore, Ernst & Young, Florida Keys Tourism), radio and television commercials (Panera Bread, North State Communications, Hooked On Phonics), web videos, various voice mail projects and radio imaging, both speaking and singing. She has been the imaging voice for a major online hotel booking service and has voiced various projects in the relatively new field of book trailers. Jodi has read books on to tape for the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind), reads texts in the public domain in to MP3 format through LibriVox, a volunteer organization, and reads speculative fiction for Aberrant Dreams.

Her background in singing has helped her immeasurably in the area of voice overs, but her background in Internet Marketing (since 1995) has also been very useful in the area of promotions - both for herself and her clients. Coupled with creative writing training and an English degree, Jodi's potential to help her clients achieve success becomes limitless.

With a home studio and easy access to an outside studio, Jodi can provide whatever it is you might need, quickly and efficiently.

She can provide files in .wav, .mp3, .aif and will upload them to a dedicated server so that you are able to download your files the same day the work is completed.

My Training

Jodi Krangle has been working in a studio environment, since 1988 and is entirely comfortable in front of a microphone. Her music group, Urban Tapestry, has produced a tape and 2 CDs and Jodi has provided her back-up vocal talents to various music projects all over the world.

She has taken workshops with Debbie Munro & Kevin Delaney and teleseminars with Marc Cashman & Marla Kirban. She is continually doing everything she can to further her voice acting education and is a regular participant in the many voice over specific social networks and message boards.

She takes direction well, is easy to work with, has an excellent work ethic, and will deliver your project on time and to your specifications. Jodi is a member of SaVoa (an organization that accredits voice over talent) so you can be assured of both optimal audio quality and a quality performance.

My Studio Equipment

In Studio: Studio Projects T3 microphone through an ART MPA Gold Tube preamp, Mac computer using Pro Tools HD3 Excel.

At Home (only used for auditions): Rode NT1-A through a Lexicon Omega on a PC computer using Cubase.

Additional Skills

Jodi Krangle is the creator of a well known songwriting resource website called The Muse's Muse. The site was created in 1995 and has since gone on to win awards and acclaim in various well-known magazines like Keyboard & Billboard as well as newspapers like The Washington Post.

If your project has need of a singing voice, Jodi can provide that for you. No need to go to two different places for the same commercial! Likewise, if you happen to have another project involving a demo of some kind where you need a lead vocal or a back-up vocal (maybe a song within a video game?), she can help you there too. Harmonies are a specialty and she comes up with them quickly and easily. In fact, she's been known to add two or three of them to a recording she was singing lead on (though of course, she will create what you need to your specifications). Her voice has been described as a warm blend of Sarah Vaughan and Karen Carpenter and is very conducive to jazz standards (a very popular style for some commercial jingles) and slow ballads.
