Straight Midwestern accent, however given the right phonetics I can do pretty well with Italian and German.

My Voice Experience

Radio News Announcing in high school speech class was nerve-wracking, but it led me to a fabulous career path. I was an award-winning news reporter/anchor for WHO-AM in Des Moines, one of the nation's premier radio stations, for well over a decade.

On the side, I've been a weekly voice talent for an on-hold marketing company for the past 13-years and have also voiced training videos, presentations, commercials, even a DVD that teaches children how to type. In fact, my own son got to use it in his school! He thought it was pretty weird that he was listening to his Mom tell him how to type...

For the past couple of years I have been the writer for a national radio program called "Living the Country Life" through Meredith Corporation in Des Moines.

My Training

BA degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. Minor - Speech Communication.

I have been involved in theater arts since I was 13-years old, playing a vast array of characters in school and community performances. I am a singer and trumpet player as well.

My Studio Equipment

I record via USB connection to my desktop computer with the Lexicon Lambda Recording Studio and the recording software is the Steinburg Cubase LE4 production suite. The cardioid microphone used is the professional broadcast-quality Electro-Voice RE20.
