Voice Description

In one of my college public speaking classes, someone insisted that he could listen to my voice all day. He found it very soothing.

For presentations, my voice can be calm and professional, with clear enunciation and enough variety to be easy to listen to and yet not put anyone to sleep!

For narrations, I can be cool, dramatic, or pleasant, and I can incorporate a variety of voices, accents, emotions and personalities as each character may require.

For commercials, my voice can be sultry, thoughtful, enthusiastic, sweet, gentle and refreshing.

My Training

I have a BA in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Public Speaking. My favorite class was Oral Interpretation, in which we had to narrate stories and create vocal personalities for each of the characters.

I have done acting and narrating for audiences of 500 people or more, performing in skits and presentations.

I have been a volunteer storyteller in churches, schools and for the public library.

And I have done public speaking engagements on behalf of the hospice I worked for and have led training classes for hospice volunteers.
