My Voice Experience

Hired by Language Services, in Manhattan, New York City (since March 2007), for several voice-over jobs in Brazilian Portuguese, for companies like the multinational TOEIC. Wondering if I could have this as a full-time job... that would be great! Any companies out there willing to give me the opportunity?!

I'm an ESL teacher and I've worked with theater plays before, so I've always needed a wide range of nuances in my voice, different pitch, stress, intonation and rhythm to entertain students and also in my everyday life, to sound wise and convincing (which I actually am!) and very modest too, right? (!!) Voice-overs in Brazilian Portuguese are my high point.

Honestly, life and its countless experiences have been my best teacher. And an accute sense of observation and method, besides obsession for perfection.

I also worked for Globo TV in Brazil in 2000 as an extra, in the soap opera Uga-Uga...

I used to be a singer in a punk rock band when I was 17, does that also count? Oh, I remember this day when I called a radio station in Brazil to participate in a kind of live contest and the first thing the radio guy said was: Wow, listen to this guy's voice! I was 16 years old then and it got etched in my memory.
