I've been told that my natural voice is very unique, naturally, I have a horrendous Brooklyn accent but can easily lose that and speak without an accent (thanks to living all over the country!!)I've been told my voice is warm, friendly and sexy, and that I have great voice talent. I have also worked as a professional wedding singer and singing telegram girl!!I think my voice is one of the things that makes me stand out!

My Voice Experience

I have worked on and off since I was 18 years old as a wedding singer and a singing telegram girl (I am now 30)and my voice has always been my calling card in a way. When I was 18 years old, I joined the Navy and on one of my ships, I was picked out of a crew of 500 sailors to be the anchor of the ships news that aired each and everynight on the ship at meal times. I didn't do any special voice, I spoke my normal sometimes a bit raspy "Brooklyn" and used my eclectic personality to have fun and make the news something the sailors looked forward to. I would also read the "viewer's letters" on the air, getting a good laugh at what different folks would say about my voice--I loved that job!

My Training

I do not have any technical training, even though I have done voice work in the past. The thing I DO have is a fun voice, tons of creativity, and I think I'd be a great asset to whatever projects I am called for. I have worked in the past as a singing telegram girl, a wedding singer, have done voice work for a local radio commercial when I lived in CA, as well as some off, off, OFF Broadway work!!
