My Voice Experience

I am a fresh new voice in the industry. I have many skills, having studied with some of the best voice teachers as well as amazing dialectitions in both America and London (these mentors leading the vocal departments with establishments like Shaw Festivals and the Royal National Theater and voice coaching at the top Regional, Broadway, and West End theaters). I specialize in dialects and cartoon voices but have a great skill for using my young yet resonate voice for commercials. After years of script analysis, reading copy is a breeze. I once had a project where for 10 minutes straight we had to come up with new voices and read new copy every 10 seconds (and we were judged by the Head of Voice for the London Acadamy fo Musical and Dramatic Arts) and I recieved the highest marks. I am new, yet very skilled in this area.

My Training

I first trained in High School at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas. I then recieved my BFA in Acting from The Guthrie Theater/University of Minnesota BFA Actor Training Program. Our junior year, they moved us to London where we studied with private tutors from the Royal National Theater, the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Globe Theater London, and other established directors and dialectitons. I currently take classes in film acting with Chad McCord and Michael Laskin and voice over work with David Lawerence.

My Studio Equipment

I have an AT2020 USB mic and audacity software.

Additional Skills

I am easy to get a hold of and have a headset for my phone so I can take direction over the phone while recording. I am also very good at teaching. I have taught drama to children ages 5-13 for three years.
