Voice Description
As an English teacher, I have had the opportunity to practice my voice talent daily through my constant oral readings to my ninth grade students. When reading stories or novels, I can change from happy, to tearful, to sexy, to angry tones quite easily. For example, taking on the characer of Juliet from Romeo and Juliet requires numerous emotions from me. My students enjoy my voice changes with characters; however, they prefer that I stick to perfecting my female voices.

My Voice Experience
Honestly, most of my experience comes through teaching English for ten years. In order to keep up with ninth graders, I have to be a performer of sorts. For example, when I tell personal stories to prompt essays, I get very animated with my voice to help the kids really "be right there" with me when I tell of my fight with a thorn bush or my reaction to my husband's thirty foot fall from our roof.
Because most of my major speaking roles have been live (addressing the entire school board in Burbank, CA, giving my unique proposal story to the local news channels and radio stations, reading stories to kids who aren't really into school...), I feel confident that I am well-equipped for a large variety of voice overs where I am not dealing with live situations.
My Training
My education in becoming a voice over has been through self instruction. I have learned to perfect my voice through observing and listening to the reactions of those who have heard my voice over the years. I've always yearned to entertain, and I am finally at a place in my life where I have confidence in my ability to do so.
My coworkers, family, friends, and students have helped me to see that I have talent in my voice.
