My Voice Experience

Began in radio at age 15, in 1978. Have worked in and around the industry all my adult life. I have been a morning show host, talk-show host, sportscaster, and voiced imaging for a variety of formats(AC, Country, Oldies and Classic Rock). I have written copy, hosted telethons(Children's Miracle Network) and I have had a home studio for many years for freelance voice work.

My Training

I was trained via the workplace through my formative years, learning from seasoned voice over professionals in the early 80's at the legendary KFQD-AM in Anchorage, Alaska. I graduated from college(Southern Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas) at the age of 18, and have been in the broadcasting field ever since. Along the way I have learned the business of radio from every angle. I have sold, managed, programmed, engineered(not a novice, I am a member of the SBE, and a C.B.R.E.) and there is nothing related to on-air operations that I have not done.
