Voice Description

This is a bit tough for me since I'm new to this. I will try to describe my voice from what my friends and co-workers have commented on.

I have what I would call a naturally deep voice and by that I mean it carries well without any amplification. Others have told me that I have a DJ or radio voice. I don't really know what that means but they have always said it is a compliment.

I try not to yell or scream much but I'm married so it just happens (haha). If I ever yell or scream, you will know it because it will command the attention of everyone around me and likely scare the hell out of you. I can intimidate with my voice when I raise it. My wife will either complain that I'm "yelling" at her when I know I'm just speaking loudly or she will want me to talk to her because it relaxes her. So I have something of a soothing voice at times.

Personally, I think I have a good voice with many different ranges or at the very least I have the ability to mimic other voices.

Not sure of how many accents I can do or how convincing they are. I have used voices that would sound British, French, German, etc. or black or hispanic. I can easily pull off a southern twang but feel confident enough to handle most any dialect from the United States.

Additional Skills

It seems to be my sarcasism that people most enjoy. I think it is because it comes across as funny instead of cruel or rude. Perhaps it is a dry wit. For the most I tend to be a laid back type of guy who tries to go with the flow unless it is something completely against my morals or I feel I am being coerced into something I do not agree with - then I'm a fighter. I was always the class clown in school. I was pretty sharp in making a topical joke or barb at someone in the past and from the comments of my co-workers I still am. I have the ability to learn quickly and think on my feet and that confidence guides me through much of my life even when I may not the exact skills required to perform a certain task - I'll just learn it on the go.
