Jimmy Howes has a 28-year career in Radio Broadcasting. He has worked with most of New York and New Jersey's top radio stations, such as Hot-97 (as an on-air personality during their "Freestyle Format" days). He hosted the Morning Show on Jukebox Radio in New York City for several years. He was the Mid-Day Disc Jockey for 1160-WVNJ for many years and is a crossover format expert.
His career started in 1979, working for WCBS's Cousin Brucie. Jimmy is an award winning Voice Over Talent and you have heard his voice on hundreds of commercials, both locally and nationally. Jimmy Howes is proud to be the Program Director for the only radio station in the New York City area that uses real live DJ’s. No pre-recorded DJ’s, just real live DJ’s.
WGHT Radio is and will always be a radio station that is a flash back of the old WABC, WMCA and WNBC. Our goal is to keep radio what it should be, FUN. Our formula is simple. Great oldies, award winning local news, musically informed personality jocks and lots on air give aways.

So, he not only knows music Jimmy has worked for Billy Joel, Freddy (Boom Boom) Cannon, Dobey Grey, The Drifters, The Dupree's, Major Motown Acts such as The Temptations and The Marvelettes. Jimmy spent many years on stage playing his guitar, and you may have heard him on some of your favorite records over the years. Currently you can hear Jimmy Howes on WGHT's Morning Show.
