Voice Description

A professional voice, famous for impressions of Pres. Bush, John Kerry, Clinton, Swartzeneggar and others in the popular animated shorts, I also do a number of other celebrity impressions and dead-on sound alikes. But it is for my natural, real, warm man on the street sound that I have done the most work for TV and radio.
I also do a multitude of character voices for animation and audiobooks. For the Tonight Show and Dave Letterman, I am called upon to do Dick Cheney, Morgan Freeman, Al Gore, and various others in the news. For Honda, I do a version of Napoleon Dynamite. For Pacificare, an HMO, I recreated the voice of Fred Mertz to accompany a digital reworking of I Love Lucy. Whatever is needed.
I have the ability to sound real and non-announcery, or to color my voice in many ways to help get the message across.
I also am always ready to create spots thru improv, making voiceover scripts live and on air, after decades of practice with campaigns for supermarkets, banks, long-distance/internet providers, etc. Let me interview your customers, and you will have a lot of useable material to choose from.

I've been spokesman in commercials for SBC Yahoo!, Earthlink, Compass Bank, Skaggs Alpha Beta markets, Schnucks markets, The MAC Card, White Castle burgers, TGI Friday's restaurants, The Black Eyed Pea restaurants, Food Lion, Kash n' Karry markets... more than I can remember.
In animation I've been on Rugrats, Boondocks, Angry Beavers, Pinky and The Brain, Scooby Doo and Shaggy Get a Clue, Johnny Bravo and many others. All the major studios. And of course, "This Land" from Jibjab.com. which was the viral sensation of the last election.

My Training

I studied voiceovers with a guy in New York, the voice of Nabisco for a LONG time, Mr. Harlan Rector.
The rest I really got on the job. It didn't hurt that I grew up in a professional acting household; my mom is Golden Globe and Emmy nominee, actress Marion Ross.
