I have a solid authoritative delivery style, with warmth. A reasonably deep voice. I worked for 20 years in radio and television as a news / current affairs reporter before moving into documentary production where I voice most of my productions.
This is a mature, believable voice...trust me!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

The accent is neutral antipodean. I am English by birth, and have lived most of my life in NZ with a 4 year stint in radio & TV in the US (Oregon) My accent is a blend of all these, with the NZ element stronger. I can do Irish or Scottish at a pinch but "upper-class down-under" best describes my natural sound

My Voice Experience

I have worked in broadcasting since leaving college in 1975, with most of that time in television news and current affairs, and more recently (the past 16 years) in a production company making TV documentaries and promotional DVDs.

My Training

Trained by Radio New Zealand for voice-work
I have a BA in English and Diploma of Journalism from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

My Studio Equipment

We have a full sound studio with insulated recording booth and Pro-Tools suite with an expert sound mixer. WE subscribe to several music libraries, so have millions of tracks of production music.

Additional Skills

Script writing & editing is one of my particular skills...after working for years in broadcasting, I know how to write for the spoken word.
Of course I'm quite happy to read what you write, but I can add value in sub-editing.
I am also a video/DVD producer, so can edit complete packages if required.
