Non typical deep to medium VO specialist
I have a medium to deep voice with some low end texture. Excellent for announcements and narration. My experience started in radio and have several years of game experience both on mic as well as directing & recording. I can range anywhere from high emotion to deadpan, serious to comical, grunts, groans, screams & yells and utterances. Any vocalization as needed. Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I am comfortable with a range of American generic, southern style accents (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, etc.), north east (New York, Massachusetts, etc.) and west coast (surfer/skater, hippy, "valley", etc). Also my personal background includes Italian and and Mexican heritage so I comfortable speaking English with these types of accents. Also varieties of British accents (generic, cockney, northern [Liverpudlian]) and Irish.
When singing my voice has been described as close to John Lennon with a slight nasal quality. Somewhere around Lennon, Roger Waters, Mike Nesmith, Jim Croce, Tom Petty or the like. A little rough around the edges with emotion.
My Voice Experience
I have been working in video games for over a decade, primarily as a sound designer but with significant voice over experience including script preparation, performing, recording, direction, editing and processing. I began my game career at LucasArts (7 1/2 years), then onto Activision and later Sega of America. My first game VO appearance came in 2002 in "Armed and Dangerous" where I was an extra in a bar scene (chatter and chorus singing). I developed a "mumble-speak" dialogue approach for the "LEGO Star Wars: The Original Trilogy" game directing all vocalization and performing characters such as Darth Vader and Han Solo. My VO career started in radio as an on air personality at radio stations KVHS in Concord, Ca and the former KLOQ of Merced, Ca. In addition to being on air I recorded many PSA and ad spots as well as reporting news.
Studied Motion Picture & Video Production at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ca. Studied Studio Recording and Advanced ProTools at Diablo Valley College in Peasant Hill, Ca as well as general course work.
I am a member of the Audio Engineering Society and NAMM.

I am a lifelong musician with experience from marching and symphonic to jazz and rock variants. I am a multi-instrumentalist. Primarily a drummer but I have also been hired as a session musician for drums, guitar, bass and vocals. I have performed across California in bands and as a hired sideman.
In my VO game experience I have also had to prep scripts for recording, directed and recorded VO as well as coordinated localized VO for non English versions of games. No translation however.
In addition to VO editing I have extensive experience as a sound designer and have a very large Sound Effects library that includes personally created assets as well as commercial libraries. I can also perform corrective processing if necessary.
