I have been a voice-over artist for about 30 years, barring trips to the dentist. During that time I have worked for hundreds of clients all over the country on radio and television commercials, corporate websites, product and service videos, and training programs.
I have been the spokesperson of such national companies as Jiffy Lube, Administaff, Jimmy John’s, Opti-Free, Rheem/Ruud, Rentronics, NASA, Baker Oil Tools, and Chevron.
My work encompasses announcing, voice acting, narration, and simple home repairs. More information is available at my website.
VOICE OVER. My training has occurred through long association with the advertising industry as a writer, producer, and creative director. I have learned from directing some of the best voice talent in the country, as well as 30 years of professional voice-over experience.
ADVERTISING. Through my company, Radio Works, I have written and produced thousands of radio commercials, many of which have won national and international awards.
PRODUCTION. I have been a hands-on recording and production engineer for the past 20 years, starting with multitrack tape recording and mixing, through Sound Tools, Pro Tools, and the latest Adobe software.
MUSIC. I studied music and theatre in college and am currently a professional musician who performs every week. I have composed music for both classical and jazz idioms, including a fair amount of commercial music for radio and television.
I operate two similar studios - one at my home and the other at my office. They consist of late-model Windows-based computers, professional Sennheiser and Heil microphones, M-Audio professional sound cards, and a variety of recording and mixing software that includes Adobe Audition 3.0 and Sony Sound Forge.
I have a complete library of sound effects, including Hollywood Edge and Cartoon Trax, plus an account with Associated Production Music.
Music production processes include a 16-track Boss BR1600 Digital Audio Workstation, full 88-key M-Audio keyboard, Roland synthesizer, A variety of orchestral and pop software synthesizers, and four MIDI sequencers.
I can format audio to any specification (wav, aiff, wma, mp3 - all at 48 or 44.1 hz, 8, 16, or 32 bit depth). I can provide specific compression for MP3 audio, from 20 to 320 kbps. I can deliver audio by e-mail, FTP, US mail, and express.
I am one of a very few professional voice-over trainers in the Southwest. I have been training voice talent, from beginners to advanced professionals, since the early 1990's.
Because of my unique, comprehensive background I am able to study a script quickly, take direction intelligently, and give a performance that meets and exceeds the client's expectations.
