Voice Description

I have been a professional announcer since 1975; hosted a morning wake-up show on radio for several years in which I protrayed a number of comedic characters as well as doing commercials for local sponsors.
I also have more than 20 years experience as a newscaster and sportscaster doing play-by-play for footbal and basketball.

My Voice Experience

I have been told by those I've worked for that my normal speaking voice is very comfortable to the ear, easy to understand (good enunciation).
My character voices were distiguishable frm my normal voice. On several occassions, those who were listeners of my morning show had no idea that all the voices were done by me. One of my regular gags was to interview my characters live on the air using the majic of editing.
My sportcasting style has been compared to the late Skip Carey.

My Training

All of my training was done on the job. I began as an intern with a radio station in Northwest Georgia while in college. I went on to work for a large video production company in Chapel Hill, NC before moving on to radio in Northwest Georgia.

My Studio Equipment

I have digital and analog recording equipment from my vieo production days. I can manufacture mp3's or wav files as well as edit in special effects. I also have a full production library that I used to make radio commercials.

Additional Skills

I have copywriting skills. The majority of the commercials I cut for my radio clients I wrote and produced. I also have experience in writing and producing television commercials.
