Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have been told I have accents from Florida, to Boston, New York and New Hampshire. I enjoy impersonating character voices from various countries. It is easy for me to imitate anyones voice i've come across, from a child to a senior citizen. I used to enjoy imitating Richard Nixon and Ernie Boch Jr. as I listened to the tv set as a young girl.

My Voice Experience

My love for using my voice in versatile ways began as a child. In grade school I had solo's in operetta's as well as starring in many plays. As I grew up I went on to study acting and perform in Massachusetts, New York, and Florida. Most of my experience is theatrical, although I have very much enjoyed any on camera work. I was told in my first acting class in New York, that if I did nothing else, that I should pursue doing voice overs. Teachers, strangers, as well as people I know have told me I have a unique, rich, and powerful voice.

My Training

I have studied acting and performed in Massachusetts, New York, and Florida from childhood to present. I attended Boston College and Pine Manor College in Massachusetts. Then I moved to New York where I studied Shakespeare privately with Judy Magee for several years, learned scene study and Meisner technique, on camera, improvisation, attended soap opera classes, and learned Method acting as well. In Florida I took classes in some of the same areas from different teachers. While in New York I took voice lessons from Lynn Singer and was also coached in voice over work by Joan Utell, where I made a demo tape in a recording studio.

Additional Skills

In all of my jobs I have interacted with customers, many of the jobs have been sales jobs. I have done telemarketing with the Huntington Theatre company, selling theatre subscriptions, and did customer service over the phone for a car dealership for both sales and service customers. In both jobs the phone calls could be lengthy, it was a pleasurable experience. I have also been a writer since childhood. Because of my writing experience, having written numerious short stories, a novel, a sequel double screenplay, and having many more working projects, I am well aware of the importance of the written word. Therefore I am inately qualified with how words in a sentence and paragraphs are to be stressed as well as annunciated. Additionally I have been complimented many times on my sense of humor, Improv is one of my specialties.
