Voice Description

I have a smooth up lifting voice - sparky or sexy if it needs to be, straight and professional if it needs to be, but always warm and with life in it. I have an authentic English accent, born and raised there until I was 19 when I moved to California. I can pull out the Queens English or speak BBC if you prefer, spark it up for a young London presenter / mtv type vibe or - since I've been here a while now - my natural British accent is very likeable & more understandable to the American ear.
With a background in music and backing vocals, I have developed an ear for tone and rhythm and I think that comes into play as a voice-over artist.

My Voice Experience

From the age of 16 I have been a backing vocalist and have sung on many recording projects, most of them independant and some of them with Record Labels. Because of this I've developed a great ear. I sort of fell into voice overs because of my British accent and the fact that we own a recording studio, but I found it really natural and a lot of fun. I started getting asked by friends to record their voicemail greetings, companies to voice their webcasts, voicemail messages and on hold messages and I have also recorded radio commercials and overdubbed audio interviews for the web.
People say to me they could listen to my voice all day (spoken and sung) so I am building on that foundation. I can also sing if you need a vocal session for your music project or advertising campaign... Have a listen and see if I'm a fit for your project!

My Training

No formal training except for drama & acting lessons when I was young. All my training has been on the job!

My Studio Equipment

My husband is a professional producer running Pro-tools and a whole bunch of other digital recording software. My preferred mic is an M-Audio Tube mic. He is also a professional songwriter which makes us a great fit for a custom project.

Additional Skills

I am the Operations & Marketing Manager for our Guitar Specialty School and recording studio, so I know how to get things done and be professional - I will do what I say and won't mess around. My goal is for my clients to be more than happy.
