My Voice Experience

A smooth, belty alto meets professional broadcast journalist. That's my range, in a nutshell. I've been a working television and radio broadcast journalist for the last two years. I covered everything from statehouse politics to fun conversational community features. On the other hand, I've sang in choirs, a cappella groups and starred in a number of musicals. I love telling stories and singing the blues.

My Training

My trick is learning by listening.

I have a Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. I've taken private voice lessons, vocal training with Wellesley College Choir, acting techniques class at Wellesley College (obtained BA in Psychology), on-camera acting workshop and a Performance Art course.

Additional Skills

When I was in pre-school, my teachers used to have to bribe me to talk in class. But it wasn't until I got behind my first microphone at my college radio station that I realized I like to talk, and that I was really good at it. From there it was off to Journalism school and broadcasting.

The result is a voice with a dynamic sound and a range to fit any project.
