Voice Description

I can be suspenseful for movie previews, energetic and confident for commercials, as well as smooth, but overall a deep and comforting voice. I grew up in North Carolina, and have a very slight southern twang, often hardly noticeable. I am 25 yrs old, so I also present a more youthful energy with my voice. I can sing and/or rap, which includes Johnny Cash impersonations.

My Voice Experience

Before starting professionally, I was often MC at school events. Later on, I waited tables, soothing customers with my voice so that a nice tip is produced and any complaints are immediately quelled. I also cover a few Johnny Cash songs(as well as many other artists, and a few originals) when I perform out at cafes and bars. My performing career began in Guatemala a few years ago, playing regularly at a cafe in Antigua.
Most recently, I recorded for a production company who was producing a series of videos to mimic the game show "Minute To Win It." Each activity had a video, and I recorded and edited the voice over for all of them.

My Training

none, but I would be willing to attend classes or seminars, if employers wanted me to. I am merely using this site as a possible way to get my foot in the door, because I believe I have a naturally usable/sellable voice. I have BA in Latin American Studies, and I am certified to teach English as a Second Language.

I sing and play guitar, and I enjoy freestyle singing while I play.

Although I do not have much experience as a Voice-Over artist, I have come to thoroughly enjoy the process and art of the industry, including taking on the personality or characteristics that are required for the recording and fine-tuning the audio until it sounds perfect. I am very flexible at the moment, and more than willing to try multiple takes in working with the client.
