Voice Description

Though Jeri's deep, rich voice has been broadcast as the host of the Mix 96 high school show (produced by Golden West Broadcasting Corp.), doing morning announcements at his high school, and working as a DJ, he specializes in Egyptian, East Indian, and Europian accents, as well as a variety of cartoon characters & animals. These include Winnie the Pooh, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon from the Simpsons (and a host of similar characters), a duck, a cat, various types of dogs (growling, barking, whining), a chicken (roosters, hens), a pig, & a barnyard foll of other characters. He's also been likened to a variety of singers & actors, such as Elvis Presley, & Jim Carey.

Jeri can be described as warm and deep for narrations, sexy and fun for commercials, smooth and professional for presentations.

Native to Canadian English, Jeri also grew up in a strong mennonite community, learning Low German at an early age. Always observant, he quickly developed an ear for the various properties of human speech, learning a wide variety of accents and dialects, and also plays piano by ear.

Since fall of 2005, Jeri has done voice over work as host of the SRSS High School Show, produced by Golden West Broadcasting. Teachers & staff at Steinbach Regional Secondary School have been captivated and describe him as having "a tremendous radio voice". "Jeri is a wonderful actor and speaker. When he gives the morning announcements for the school he is always clear with a distinct radio voice, he is humorous and easy to listen to" "he has a natural 'speaking' voice and is quite comfortable speaking to a larger group". He recently finnished a three year AudioVisual training course, and demonstrates professionalism beyond his years.
