Voice Description
My voice is very dynamic, with the ability to change pitches, dynamics and accents very quickly and clearly. I can be suave, welcoming, goofy, creepy and cheesy, each with a different sound. My range is from bass to a low tenor. I can do a variety of accents and several celebrity impersonations, the best being Jimmy Stewart, Ed Wynn, Jimmy Durante, Woody Allen and Bob Dylan. I am best when playing characters, but I can also convey the warmness needed in a presentation or phone message. My falsetto is not very good, but I can make my voice crack on command. My voice sounds the best playing teenagers, young adults, and over-the-top characters. With minimal direction, I can produce the voice needed.

My Voice Experience
HIGHLIGHTS OF MY THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE:
* "The Gog/Magog Project". Hunger Artists Theater Company (Fullerton, CA). Director: Kelly Flynn. August/September 2004. One-Man show in which I played four different characters: A warm narrator, the charismatic young man Gog, the business-like African American Magog and myself. OC Weekly Theatre Award - Best Solo Performance.
* "Assassins". Hunger Artists Theater Company. Director: Shannon C.M. Flynn. July/August 2004. Musical in which I portrayed Giuseppe Zangara, a heavily accented Italian, along with several pre-recorded off-stage voices, including a 1930's reporter, a Southern Civil War soldier and a news reporter reminiscent of Walter Cronkite. OC Weekly Theatre Award - Best Ensemble.
* "The Land Southward". Hunger Artists Theater Company. Director: Darcy Hogan. March, 2005. Original play in which I portrayed over fifteen characters, many with lightning-fast changes. These included a nice Mormon boy, a suited government official, an overly nervous landlord, a "surfer dude" game show contestant, a fast-talking 1950's reporter, a friendly priest, an awkward education film actor and a ten-year-old boy.
* "The Rocky Horror Show". Maverick Theater (Fullerton, CA). Director: Brian Newell. July, 2005. Musical in which I played, depending on the performance attended, the all-American good-natured young man Brad, or the snarling, creepy, slow-talking Riff Raff. Both roles required a completely different style in both speaking and singing.
My Training
My training has been years of self-study. From a very early age, I studied ventriloquism, especially exploring the variations of the human voice, by watching Ronn Lucas's specials on television. Since then, I have studied the nuances and subtleties of different accents, different actor's voices, and the stylings of voice-over artists like Matt Chapman (of Homestar Runner) and Jim Ward (of The Stephanie Miller Show).

Additional Skills
I am a produced playwright of both dramatic and comedic works. This requires a heightened knowledge of the English language. I often act out the characters as I'm writing to make sure that I can capture dialogue in the best possible way. This includes pauses, stutters, interruptions, overlapping dialogue and the wording of sentences. I am often praised for my realistic and witty dialogue, which can be credited to acting out the characters.
