My Voice Experience

"keekeekee" "laylaylaylay" loolooloolooloo" Voiceovers are the best way to put to use all that intense voice training I had during my BFA training and while training in Shakespeare. I love all those insane vocal warmups. "Toy boat toy boat toy boat..." My work has begun with narration for Telly Award winning films with VisionGroup Media and a PSA for radio. I really enjoyed putting together my voiceover demo and hope you enjoy listening!

My Training

Voiceover and commercial class with Katherine Ryan of Don Buchwald & Assoc. I hold a BFA in Acting with voice training from Cynthia Blaise and Tanera Marshall at the University of Illinois at Chicago, emphasis on the Linklater methods. Studied Shakespeare and Cicely Barry's voice methods at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Master classes with Catherine Fitzmaurice and Barbara Houseman. Continued training in NYC with Josh Pais of Atlantic Theatre and Dave Demke of Shakespeare & Company (Linklater Intensives). I played the flute for ten years, can sight read music, have basic audio and video editing skills, broadcast journalism experience, improv and impromptu speaking experience, puppetry and mask experience, and won several scholarships and awards for speeches I wrote and delivered.

Additional Skills

I've been on both sides of the camera in filming Telly Award winning documentaries with voiceover narration and have used basic audio engineering skills in directing live theatre with voiceovers. Experience in theatre producing and marketing has taught me great business and communication skills. I've been a teaching artist/mentor to young girls and I'm very involved in the creative arts team at Forefront Church. I'm especially interested in working with non-profit companies and charities that promote social good.
