Voice Description

My voice has been a propeller for my career.

I began learning skills to effectively communicate with the public in 1998 as a Business Consultant for Verizon Communications. During my position I was communicate with vendors during telephone sales calls and conducting product presentations using the most professional demeanor that my voice was able to project. By the time I severed my employment with Verizon several years later, I had perfected my voice as a business professional and learned how to use different facial expressions to convey specific tones in my voice.

My last position allowing me to use my voice for creative purposes was a position with AT&T as an Information Services Assistant. I responded to inbound calls from AT&T cellular customers requesting residential or business telephone numbers.

I can impersonate a West Caribbean accent pretty well. I have several friends and co-workers various caribbean islands and the dialect has sort of rubbed off on me.

My Voice Experience

I have no prior experience performing voice over recordings; however I am open to all opportunities presented.

My Training

I am actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, with a concentration in International Business.

I have learned a considerable amount of knowledge pertaining to the music industry on the production side of the table thanks to my close affiliation with a music producer has who has worked with Queen Latifah.

My Studio Equipment

I personally do not own studio equipment; however, I do have access to a music studio thanks to a close associate of mine who has produced music in his home studio for Queen Latifah.

Additional Skills

I have always been told that I have a nice voice. I have been asked by people just meeting me if I am a singer when they hear me speak. I have had experiences in my life that have placed me in good situations as well as bad situations. Those different experiences have allowed me to develop several alter-egos with which I am capable of changing my voice to accommodate characterizations such from a professional business person to a neck-snapping ghetto girl from the hood.

I currently exercise both voices everyday. My professional voice is currently being utilized in my position as Admissions Secretary at one of the premier colleges in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.
