My Voice Experience

The last voice over I did (in 9/06) was for a non-profit organization that distributed educational videos throughout Texas for underprivileged children. It was a video with characters like those from Sesame Street or Barney. My voice was used for a Lady Bug that was ridding a garden of aphids. It was very much a character voice.

I have also been in many theatrical productions in the past because of the calibur of my voice and acting ability. I played such characters as Lady Dracula in Lady Dracula, Mary Girard in The Insanity of Mary Girard, and the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland.

My Training

Before I went to college, I attended many theater camps (some of which were very difficult to get into).

I have about 30 college hours of theater. Beyond the prerequisites, I took advanced classes such as Shakespeare for the Stage, Voice and Diction, Children's Theater, Directing, Advanced Acting, and I also took vocal lessons and was in the university choir.

Additional Skills

I have had a lot of customer service positions to which I must have had the ability to communicate. In a way, much of customer service is like impromtu acting.

I am very interested in other areas of the arts, such as graphic art and painting. I would love to create a graphic novel based on the characters and plot line I have in my head. Then, I would love to have my voice somewhere in the animation that I imagine would be created from my graphic art.
