I would describe my voice as light, positive and naturally sweet. My range is fun and bubbly (for on-air, and various commercials), to sexy and sultry, to motherly and soothing (think: commercial for a spa), instructional and clear (projects for online classes) and sometimes goofy and snarky (again, on air, and also for event hosting duties - I quite the comedian when I want to be) - all depending on the situation of course.

My Voice Experience

I have been working in media for 16+ years, and have been doing commercial/promotional voiceovers since 1995. In 2005 I transitioned into radio and became an on-air host for Top 40, Adult Contemporary, and Adult Alternative radio, as well as honing my skills in voiceover work. I then added to my skillset by volunteering to emcee/host/announce for various events, most prominently roller derby. I continue to expand my horizons by voicing instructional online courses for a local college.

My Training

I have a Masters in Street Smarts with a concentration in self sufficiency. Truthfully I dropped out of my first year of college as I had the chance to work for a start-up television station and learn HANDS ON while getting paid for it. Best decision I had ever made. I crafted my television programming position under the guidance of a man who had many (real) Emmy Awards sitting on his desk, and took the bull by the horns to get myself into situations where I was conducting backstage interviews at concerts, hobknobbing with the likes of FOX show stars at NATPE, and eating spaghetti with executives in Vegas who were asking me MY opinion on the current state of programming. I've had an unreal career experience thusfar.. I intend to make it that much more watercooler-worthy. (Ah yes, I eventually did finish a degree... but that is far inferior to the real-world experience I have gained in my young adult life, and way less interesting.)
