My Voice Experience

I began my voice-over career as a broadcast journalist in television. I have anchored and reported for CBS/NBC stations across the nation for 10 years. I currently work as a Reporter at the NBC affiliate in Denver. I'm very energetic on-air, I have a loud, vibrant voice that is very conversational. I really love to deliver my reports in a laid back manner so the viewer feels like I'm their best friend telling them a story. Three years ago I branched out of TV and expanded my resume to include Radio/TV commercials for local car dealerships and non-profit organizations. About a year ago I accepted an on-air job as a newscaster for Denver's number one country music radio station KYGO. My boss said my voice was surprisingly comfortable for a newscaster and he wanted me to try and DJ. This is where I became much more energetic in my delivery while being fun and flirty. Another one of my strengths is announcing sports. I'm a Division 1 college athlete with years of volleyball, soccer, and basketball experience under my belt. In 2006 I was asked to be the official announcer for the Florida State Volleyball team. I would entertain the crowd, quickly explain play by plays, and create an energy throughout the gymnasium. This was really fun!
