My Voice Experience
I love to communicate with others using different vocal timbres, accents, inflections, and tempos infused with feeling. I enjoy sharing important information that resonates with listeners, as I did during my years as on-air News Director at two North Georgia radio stations.
I like tugging up the corners of a listener's mouth by connecting and sharing a smile, or being mysterious and flirtatious, or challenging and daring with an impish grin, or creating a new character's voice out of nowhere.
My Training
I have six years of professional radio broadcasting experience doing journalism, promotional spots, covering news and local events, copy editing, as well as on-air announcements and interviews. I won the "Claude S. Bennett" award for best actress my Sophomore year at Agnes Scott College where I majored in Music and minored in Fine Arts. I am a professional Flutist and teacher. I also do free-lance educational enrichment science presentations to schools in my area. My ability to create voices has made me a popular storyteller.
