Voice Description
I have a very personable, warm voice. I really enjoy doing spots with lots of inflection and personality in them. I tend to smile and talk with my hands as I read, just like I would if I was talking with a friend. I have great enunciation and take pride in pronouncing things correctly.
I can talk slow, and conversationally, or faster and more intently. I can do announcer type spots and 'buy now' spots, but don't think I sound believable on hard-sell spots, although I can do them.

My Home Base
Olympia, Washington, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I've lived in the Pacific Northwest, in Washington State all my life. Probably the only 'accent' I can do is Washington or Oregon, although i can fake a bit of a Bronx accent because my husband is from there.
I do hippie well, and can sometimes pull off a teenagers voice, depending on the script.
My Voice Experience
I've been in radio since my early 20's. Twenty-two years now and mostly the same station. I've done just about every kind of radio commercial you can think of, from yeast infection med trials, to car and furniture sales. With or without music or sound effects, I can do it cheerfully and promptly and totally understand when copy gets changed or the music isn't 'quite right' for the client.
I've also done narrator voices for the local community access TV station, and MC duties at various station and non-station events.
My Training
I did an 11 month training class at a vocational school, learning broadcast radio, production skills, copy writing, announcing and news-casting.
I've done narrator voice-overs for local play productions and radio plays.
I play in a local rock band (Bass and Guitar) and am learning a bit about music composition as I go. I'll be the first to say I can't sing at all, but my band lets me sing on one song.
I'm a licensed ham radio operator and enjoy those world-wide communications too.
My Studio Equipment
I have access to a full radio studio with a Radio Systems Inc. 24 channel board, an Electro-Voice 309 microphone and two computers running Adobe Audition.
