Growing up, I was always the first person to raise my hand in school to read out loud in front of the class, not because I was particularly interested in what I was reading, but because I loved the challenge of making what I was reading sound it's very best, by using my voice in different ways. I loved finding ways to enrapture my audience, and making them enthralled in and understand what was being said, even if (and sometimes especially if) the copy gave me little to work with. I continue to do this with voice over work every day.
I did my training/demo at Edge Studios in New York City. I am an excellent actress as well as voice talent, and also graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. I also took a dialects/ accent class from Chris Neher while at AMDA.
I have my own computer (MAC)
USB mic (Apogee MIC)
professional SONY headphones
Skype
I relate well to copy that has to do with a friend talking to another friend, a mom talking to another mom, as that is currently the phase of life that I am in. I have a three year old child and feel that whenever I'm reading copy that has to do with motherhood or children or talking to another neighbor, the copy naturally and effortlessly sounds relatable and believable.
I also enjoy doing yoga very much and feel that I can read copy that is meant to be soothing, and seductive or enticing very well. I can very quickly get my voice to a place with those qualities.
Lastly, I am an actress and do humor especially well. I very much enjoy reading copy that will make the listener laugh.
