Voice Description

Jenna has a versitile, all-american, mid-ranged voice. Generally her speaking on a mic comes across as full of personality, genuine... the gal you'd want to house-sit for you.

That isn't to say that she is always the responsible, warm, caring voice type, there is definately plenty of mischivious, darker, tempting voice in there too- should the need arise. Jenna also can turn around and have a sing / song something in her voice at times, which may come from her previous musical background. When in the studio she welcomes direction, imput, and discription about the project so that she can better create the voice and read for each client.

In her commercial reads she can come accross as:

a chipper, energetic, youth

a trustworthy, kind, professional in their mid-20's to early-30's

a conversational, nurturing, warm, 20-something

a sexy, sultry, sounding woman with varrying degres of vixen.

People have called her reads: "real" , "refreshing" , "soothing" , "surprising" , and "hot" . A few complements she has gotten have been: "I don't know what it is in your voice, but I like it", "I really enjoy your delivery", "would you mind re-voicing this spot, the client likes you better" and "you saved that spot, the copy was horrible".

A few comments about her commercial production have been: "entertaining" , "smooth" , "refreshing" , "fun" , "creative" , "balanced" , "I listened to the whole thing" , "the timing in that spot turned out great" , "You made me sound like I belong in radio" , and "I enjoy seeing what you will come up with when you are given extra time in a spot and have the client go ahead to play and have fun with it... because they wind up really happy with the final product and it's fun to listen to".

My Voice Experience

My "professional" experience began doing in-house commercial reads for a radio station group in Hawaii called Visionary Related Entertainment, in March of 2006, where Sean Lynch had approved my application to volunteer at the station barely two months prior. I continued to lend my voice to them on a quite regular basis and thanks to Justin Cruz, began learning how to edit audio and create files for on air use beginning in late May of that same year... I instantly loved the process. I was able to begin interning in the production department, under Johnny Helm, for that same radio station group several hours a week. By October I was regularly assisting the Production Director and covered the position as he went on vacation for a couple weeks. I've worked with Ron Jacobs in producing his latest endevour: whodaguyhawaii.com . I have been learning show production as well as on-air skills with him while there.

Some of the clients or products I have done reads for in the past with Visionary Related Entertainment include: McDonalds, Shorebird Bar & Grill, Kincaids, Club 939, Rumours Nightclub, Infinate Productions, Show World, Fun Factory, Windward Mall, Redwing Shoes, Island Snow, JcPenny, Nextel, Bidfirst.net, Comp USA, Air Force Reserve, National Guard Reserve... and many others. I read by client request for some companies as I was "branded" and associated with them and their presense at VRE. I occasionally voiced some new music imaging on a couple of their FM radio stations, as well as doing occasional reads, usually imaging related, for KISW in Seattle. I have also done a few news minute reports for VRE's local AM station.

Other types of recordings I have done include: greetings & spots for the Dollar/Thrifty rental car navigation systems on 4 of the islands in Hawaii. I have done a few quickie surf report sponsor identification sweepers / billboards for tv. (in Hawaii KHNL) I have also done phone on hold recordings for 7 local companies (in Hawaii) and phone message voice recordings for 2 local companies (in Hawaii).
