As a child I often wondered where the voices for cartoons came from. I didn't realize that there were actual people behind them. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to be an actress. I actually just recorded my demo and am starting out brand new and am so excited!
My degree is actually in Social Sciences, Secondary Education. I taught for 6 years, and while I was teaching, I took various acting classes (fundamentals of Acting I and II, Scene Study Workshop, Improv for actors, a voice class, a film class) and various workshops. I am currently taking Improv level C at Second City in Chicago and loving it! As far as Voice Over training goes, I signed up for the Chicago Voice-Over Success Program and was coached by Kayce Alltop. We discussed various aspects of the business, what I would need to do, helped me choose and coached me on material, then ended with actual studio time to record my demo.
I am a very easy going person, reliable, and fun to work with. I taught Language Arts and Social Studies at the 6th grade level for 6 years, so I am very knowledgeable of the school systems. I have an 8 month old at home. I have worked various jobs that include Discovery Zone, Tropical Sno (a shaved ice stand), and retail stores like Sears. I enjoy the outdoors, music, and many other things. I can sing very well.
