My Voice Experience

I just recently got the idea in my head to do voice acting. I've been doing onstage acting for 15 years and have always wanted to try new ways to show case myself. Though I've never professionally done any voice overs, I have been used in a few plays to read radio dialogue. I may just seem like a broke college kid who's looking for a fun way to pay the bills, and even though I have almost no experience in this, everyone had to start somewhere and I would love to start soon.

My Training

I have an Associates of Arts and Science degree from a 2 year campus in Wisconsin. I took every communication class offered and have been studying acting for the last 3 years. I've been acting since the age of 6 and have most recently been involved in singing. I've worked with a traditional concert choir as well as a small vocal jazz ensemble.

My Studio Equipment

I do not have my own studio but I do have access to some recording equipment at the local college. We have the ability to record, distort and embellish voice tracks. It's not a professional studio, but it can definitely get the job done.

Additional Skills

Acting and singing are great passions of mine and I love being able to use them in new and interesting ways. I've worked in a variety of jobs including retail and a 5 year run at a Boy Scout camp in northern Wisconsin. I've learned through all of my jobs how to talk to a variety of people. I know when to assert myself and when to put on the calm and collected voice. I can talk to kids and adults without sounding condescending or full of myself.
