Voice Description

My voice is deep and rich with a slight New Jersey accent. I can do a very convincing range of British accents, from London Aristocracy to Cockney or "scouse" like John Lennon. I like doing celebrity imitations, "funny" voices, cartoon characters and TV personalities. Fantasy and science fiction characters are also favorites of mine. I can be smooth and professional for narration.

My Voice Experience

I am new to the voice-over field, but am looking forward to a rich and varied number of experiences. I am open to recording for: commercials; video games; cartoons; documentaries; narratives and would also consider reading books for books on tape or for the blind.

My Training

I have no formal voice training, but I do have a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) from San Francisco State University. I have theater training in both classical and Stanislavsky ("the Method") acting, which gives me the ability to create character voices that are both convincing and varied. I am a published science fiction writer, and often read my works outloud to "test" the characters. I graduated S.F. State in 1982.

Additional Skills

In my past positions as a paralegal, I was asked to prepare and present training for the Administrative staff, in which I was required to create scripts and narratives that would illustrate common typographical and grammatical errors. I also performed in plays during my college years, honing my mimickry and imitation skills and learning to project my voice.
