Voice Description
My voice can range from tenor to deep bass, with overtones and resonance. My singing range is 3.5 octaves, without falsetto. I can sing soprano with the falsetto, and it is clear and not nasal. My normal speaking voice is expressive, has no regional (RI) accent and is generally in the baritone register. I can be warm, smooth, soft and sexy, fast and bright for exciting commercials, and authoritative for corporate videos. I can do a voice similar to Mickey Mouse or James Earl Jones, and many in between. I play with British, Australian and Slavic accents, and can also a great hillbilly accent as well as that of a northerner, especially Boston, Down East and Rhode Island accents.

My Training
For many years I have been told I have a perfect "radio voice" and should be announcing. I did get my 3rd class broadcasters license back in college to prepare for a college radio station and did some training for that. I have done on-air interviews on WGBH with Dick Pleasants, WRIU and WWUH and a few others, while with Northern Lights. Currently, I perform with the Mary Maguire Band and The Pegheads, a band that has been called a RI Bluegrass Super Group. I thoroughly enjoy the process of recording, singing, and following direction if given. I can write copy, direct others in their performance, and can work without direction if needed.
My Studio Equipment
Home studio: Macintosh G5 2.5 MHz dual processor desktop, Macintosh G4 Powerbook, Garageband, Audacity, AKG 535 condenser microphone, M-Audio large-diaphragm condenser microphone, M-Audio Studio Pro USB interface, pop filter. Also have 3 electric basses, 2 upright acoustic basses and 1 acoustic guitar bass, Ashley and Aguilar bass pre-amps, Crown, Hughes and Kettner and Peavey amplifiers, Bag End and Peavey cabinets.

Additional Skills
My career has been mostly in printing sales (lots of phone work, trying to reach clients who have no idea who I am--depending on my personality and voice quality to penetrate the market), with a 6 year stint as a production manager for foreign language translations.
I have performed music in front of audiences from 20 to many thousands, in venues from house concerts and coffeehouses to large auditoriums and major music festivals.
I can sing bluegrass, country, rock, folk, jazz, classical, and show tunes.
