Voice Description

I grew up around Vancouver, BC so I naturally speak with the neutral, generic North American sound common to this area. (No identifying regional dialect)
I specialize in 2 areas: Smooth, professional sounding reads for commercials, lectures, etc. and creating offbeat, fun characters for humourous commercials and animation.
I have an excellent sense for comic timing and have some skill in speaking quickly.

My Voice Experience

For as long as I've been able to talk I've been a mimic and impersonator, recreating what I saw on TV or heard on the radio to my friends and family.
I went to broadcasting school where we were required to operate the campus radio station for 8 months. I was a favourite of the audio producers because of my range of accents and characters and took direction well. (My voice was heard on about every third commercial spot :-) ) I also created a sketch comedy feature that I wrote and voiced.
Since graduation my classmates who went on to careers in audio production at radio stations still send me scripts!
I have done some animation, playing a shy teenager and a French-accented Personal Data Assistant for a cartoon about a high school set in the future.

I performed stand-up comedy for 8 years, along with some acting and improv training.

In previous jobs I gained extensive practice in public speaking to groups of tourists and made PA announcements at an airport.

I also have witing skills making commercial scripts and sketches.
