My Voice Experience
I voiced over a series of Strategic Air Command intelligence briefings as a member (1982-87) of the U.S. Air Force; in due course, I became a print and then broadcast journalist, on radio, as well as a short period as a disc jockey and doing occasional special programs on air.
My Training
I learned simply by doing, with the voice with which I was endowed---first in the Air Force, as the voice of those special classified Strategic Air Command intelligence briefings; and, later, as a working disc jockey and ultimately news anchor/reporter in regional daily radio. During my radio career I also did occasional voice-overs for commercial spots, and I once created and hosted a New Year's Eve special based on the anniversary of a classic New Year's Eve radio dance music broadcast. To this day I am told I have something close to an ideal radio voice.

Additional Skills
I am an experienced professional writer and editor who would be invaluable in adding those skills to any necessary editing of material with which I am asked to work. My news experience would be invaluable in performing documentary-related voice work; my experience with music (I am a blues musician as well as having done DJ work) would be invaluable in voicing over in music settings. And I am very adaptable between any of several kinds of voice work.
